Maple-Brown Abbott Global Listed Infrastructure (MBA GLI), a business established with Maple-Brown Abbott in 2012, has appointed Greg Stark to the newly created role of Investment Director.

Mr Stark has 14 years of experience in infrastructure investing including working closely with clients. In his new role, he will be working with MBA GLI’s wholesale distribution partners to build and service clients, both domestically and offshore, and develop the business’s US distribution capability. He will be based in Sydney and report to Andrew Maple-Brown, Co-Founder and Managing Director, MBA GLI.

Mr Maple-Brown said Mr Stark’s appointment reflected an increased focus on building relationships and strengthening communications with international clients and the broader investment community.

“In addition to the Australian market, we see strong opportunities for growth offshore, particularly in the US and Europe, and believe Greg’s specialist infrastructure knowledge, including sectors and companies, and his track record working with global investors make him ideal for this next phase in our business.

“We are fortunate to have known Greg for many years through his previous role as Director of Global Equity Research Sales at RBC Capital Markets, where he was responsible for bringing offshore infrastructure companies to Australia to meet with investors, running outbound roadshows for Australian corporates seeing investors across Europe and North America and connecting investors with RBC’s global infrastructure coverage. Greg has also worked as a consultant for the Global Listed Infrastructure Organisation,” Mr Maple-Brown said.

In his prior role at Shaw and Partners, Mr Stark developed the ASX institutional small cap business. Before that, he worked for 14 years at RBC Capital Markets, where he guided institutional equity investors locally and globally with key strategic equities advice, investment strategies, trading and equity capital raisings.
