Amelia joined Maple-Brown Abbott in 2020 as an intern under the female summer internship program, moving to a full-time research associate position in 2021. In 2022 Amelia took on the role of Senior Research Associate, before commencing as an Investment Analyst in July 2023.

In her current role Amelia conducts detailed stock research and analysis of the communications infrastructure sector and global regulated utilities outside of North America. She also supports portfolio managers and other analysts with client materials and detailed research papers. Before joining Maple-Brown Abbott, Amelia completed an internship at Macquarie Group in Equity Research.

Andrew joined Maple-Brown Abbott in January 2017 as Senior Research Associate and was appointed Investment Analyst in 2019 and most recently Portfolio Manager in 2022. Andrew is responsible for covering the midstream, renewables and diversified utilities. He is also chair of the Macroeconomic Committee. Before joining Maple-Brown Abbott, Andrew spent six years at the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA), including an 18-month secondment to the Bank of England. As a Senior Analyst in the International Financial Markets division of the RBA, he was responsible for analysing developments in international markets for the bank’s monetary policy

Andrew Maple-Brown

Andrew joined Maple-Brown Abbott in 2012. Andrew is the Managing Director of Maple-Brown Abbott Global Listed Infrastructure which he started with his partners in 2012. Before joining Maple-Brown Abbott he spent eleven years working for Macquarie Group, the remaining five years of which he spent as a Portfolio Manager within their Global Listed Infrastructure team, working in Sydney and New York. Andrew has more than twenty years of experience in financing and investing in infrastructure assets and securities. In addition to being a portfolio manager for the strategy, he is also responsible for coverage of Regulated Utilities across North America. Andrew began his career at Lend Lease and was there for five years.

Anna joined Maple-Brown Abbott in August 2023 as a Risk and Compliance Analyst. Since August 2024 Anna has worked as an ESG associate where she provides support for ESG research and client reporting.

Prior to joining Maple-Brown Abbott, Anna worked as Senior Consultant at EY. Anna has diverse experience working in various roles across financial services encompassing risk management, compliance, independence and financial crime management in Europe and Australia.

Ashwin joined Maple-Brown Abbott in 2023 as a Research Associate. In his current role Ashwin conducts stock research and analysis of regulated utilities in North America. Ayesha joined Maple-Brown Abbott in October 2022 as an ESG Investment Analyst. In her current role, she is responsible for conducting environmental, social and governance (ESG) stock research and analysis for Australian small cap companies as well as supporting broader ESG efforts. Before joining Maple-Brown Abbott, Ayesha worked as an assistant investment analyst in the global equities team at Pendal Group, covering the consumer staples and chemicals sectors across North America, Europe and Japan.

Chris joined Maple-Brown Abbott in December 2013 as an Investment Analyst and is a Portfolio Manager in the Australian Value Equities team. Chris has stock coverage responsibilities for the utilities, infrastructure and consumer sectors. Before joining Maple-Brown Abbott, he spent eight years in the Australian equities team at CP2, where he covered a range of sectors including building materials, financials and retail for their high-conviction Endeavour Fund.

Dougal joined Maple-Brown Abbott in 2001 as an equity analyst. He is currently a portfolio manager and equities analyst. Dougal was an Executive Director from July 2009 to October 2018. Dougal’s responsibilities include equity analysis and portfolio management, including managing a large number of institutional and retail accounts. He attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in 2014. Prior to joining Maple-Brown Abbott Dougal worked in a national law firm and at an international investment bank.

Franki has an extensive background in financial services having worked in digital and brand roles at blue-chip companies including Investec and UBS. Franki is responsible for developing, implementing and managing Maple-Brown Abbott’s digital and brand strategy across multiple channels across their institutional, wholesale and retail markets.

Garth joined Maple-Brown Abbott in 1997. He was appointed as Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer in July 2009, a position he held for over ten years until October 2019 when he stepped down from the Managing Director role. Garth continues in his role as the Chief Investment Officer and his responsibilities include equities analysis and portfolio management. He was an executive director from July 1999 to March 2020. Before joining Maple-Brown Abbott Garth was Director and Portfolio Manager at Allan Gray Ltd (South Africa).

Georgia joined Maple-Brown Abbott in June 2020 as a dedicated ESG Analyst on the Global Listed Infrastructure team. Prior to joining Maple-Brown Abbott, Georgia worked as a Senior Manager for two years, ESG and Corporate Responsibility at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, where she was responsible for the Group’s Environmental and Social Policy, climate change risk analysis and modern slavery program. Before the Commonwealth Bank, Georgia led the Investment Communications team at AMP Capital and worked on the project team to divest $600 million of “unethical” holdings, the launch of a Sustainable Australian Share fund, and oversaw UNPRI reporting. She has held other roles at Ironbark Asset Management in Australia, and Wellington Management and Schroders in the UK.

Gitendra joined Maple-Brown Abbott in June 2020 as Senior Research Associate and took on the role of Investment Analyst in 2022. Gitendra is responsible for detailed stock research and analysis of the transportation infrastructure sector. Before joining Maple-Brown Abbott, Gitendra worked as Investment Analyst at Allan Gray Australia, where he spent over two years conducting bottom-up, fundamental analysis of Australian equities across a range of sectors. He has over seven years’ engineering experience, having been involved in the design and construction of major civil infrastructure projects in Australia and overseas.

Greg joined Maple-Brown Abbott in October 2022 as Investment Director, Global Listed Infrastructure, bringing 14 years’ experience in infrastructure investing. Greg’s role sits within the investment research team, while using his infrastructure expertise to communicate with the team’s clients globally. Prior to joining Maple-Brown Abbott, Greg worked for a year at Shaw and Partners as Director, Institutional Equities Research Sales, where he developed the ASX institutional small cap business. Before that, he worked for 14 years at RBC Capital Markets, where he was responsible for bringing offshore infrastructure companies to Australia to meet with investors, running outbound roadshows for Australian corporates seeing investors across Europe and North America and connecting investors with RBC’s global infrastructure coverage. Greg has also worked as a consultant for the Global Listed Infrastructure Organisation.

Haide joined Maple-Brown Abbott in 1998 initially working within the Operations team before transferring to her current role as Client Service Executive within the Client Service Team. Haide is responsible for the management and preparation across our suite of regular client reports. Jon joined Maple-Brown Abbott in November 2006 as an Asian equities dealer before becoming an Investment Analyst. He is a Portfolio Manager in the Australian Value Equities team. Jon is responsible for the resources, telecommunication, engineering and construction sectors. Before joining Maple-Brown Abbott, Jon worked at State Street for six years, starting as a quantitative analyst in the transition management team and then working in a trading role, which culminated in the position of Senior Trader.

Justin Lannen joined Maple-Brown Abbott in 2012. Justin is co-founder and portfolio manager of Maple-Brown Abbott’s Global Listed Infrastructure and is also responsible for all Regulated Utilities (ex-North America). Prior to joining Maple-Brown Abbott, Justin spent five years as Portfolio Manager at Macquarie where he managed their global listed infrastructure portfolios whilst based in New York and Sydney. Prior to this, Justin worked at Colonial First State as a portfolio manager and managed the $1.4bn industrial share fund whilst maintaining his analysis of infrastructure stocks. Justin is a toll road expert having spent the majority of his career looking at the same businesses that he does today.

Kateryna joined Maple-Brown Abbott in July 2019 as an Investment Analyst and is a Portfolio Manager in the Australian Value Equities team. Kateryna is responsible for the REITs sector as well as some small cap coverage. Before joining Maple-Brown Abbott, Kateryna worked as a sell-side equities research analyst with Credit Suisse, covering the insurance and diversified financials sectors before leading the Australian Real Estate equities research team. Kateryna also has experience covering small cap stocks through her previous roles at Shaw & Partners and Baillieu Holst.

In his current role, he is responsible for leading the Australian small companies equity business, focusing on medium-term earnings delivery combined with a differentiated market-leading sustainability framework which is designed to outperform in most market environments.

Before joining Maple-Brown Abbott, Matt worked as Co-Portfolio Manager on the AMP Capital Australian Emerging Companies strategy for four years. Prior to that, he was Investment Director at IFM Investors, where he was integral to the launch of the IFM Australia small caps and micro caps strategy, and a small companies analyst at Macquarie Asset Management.

In his current role, Phillip is responsible for leading the Australian small companies equity business, focusing on medium-term earnings delivery combined with a differentiated market-leading sustainability framework which is designed to outperform in most market environments.

Before joining Maple-Brown Abbott, Phillip worked as Co-Portfolio Manager on the AMP Capital Australian Emerging Companies strategy for nine years. Rudy Haryanto joined Maple-Brown Abbott in 2000 and leads our Information Technology (IT) team. Rudy and his team are responsible for managing our IT infrastructure and the development and implementation of technology solutions including our in-house systems. Prior to this, Rudy was a software developer at JP Morgan Asset Management and IT consultant. Shaun first joined Maple-Brown Abbott in 2010 working in the operations team as an Investment Operations Officer. Shaun left the firm in April 2015, only to return in May 2016 in his current role in the Distribution team where his primary responsibilities include updating consultant databases and responding to existing clients as well as prospects Operational Due Diligence and ESG questionnaires, surveys and data requests. Shaun has worked in a number of client service and operations roles in Australia, the UK and South Africa.

Sophie joined Maple-Brown Abbott in March 2024 as Business Development Manager. In her role Sophie works closely with Vijay Srinivasan to drive distribution of Maple-Brown Abbott’s Australian value equity, Australian small companies and global emerging markets investment strategies to financial advisers and dealer groups.

Sophie has over a decade of experience in wealth management. Prior to Maple-Brown Abbott Sophie was an Account Manager at Schroders Australia, where she developed dynamic sales and marketing strategies, managed a client base of 16,000 contacts, and led a team specialising in data analytics, sales and marketing. Sophie’s career also includes roles at Livewire Markets and Fidelity International.

Steven joined Maple-Brown Abbott in 2012 and is co-founder and portfolio manager of global listed infrastructure. Prior to Maple-Brown Abbott, he spent six years in Macquarie’s Global Listed Infrastructure team as an investment analyst covering infrastructure and utilities in the Asia Pacific region. He was later appointed as a joint Portfolio Manager for Macquarie’s Emerging Market Listed Infrastructure strategy.  Prior to joining Macquarie, Steven worked briefly within Rothschild’s investment banking division in London, specifically on debt and mezzanine private placement transactions. Steven is an airports expert and is responsible for the coverage of the team’s airport investments around the globe, the transportation infrastructure and communication infrastructure assets.

Vijay joined Maple-Brown Abbott in November 2021 as National Key Account Manager and was promoted to Head of Wholesale Distribution in October 2023. In his current role as Head of Intermediary Distribution, Vijay is responsible for the distribution strategy for Maple-Brown Abbott and Antipodes Group capabilities across asset classes.

Vijay has 25 years’ experience in wealth management distribution and client service roles. Prior to joining Maple-Brown Abbott, Vijay was Head of Strategic Accounts at Colonial First State (CFS) where he led a team responsible for distributing CFS Investment Funds, Platforms and Superannuation products. Before that, Vijay worked as a Strategic Account Manager, also at CFS. His earlier roles include National Key Account Manager at Blackrock, National Business Development Manager at Barclays Global Investors and Adviser Development Manager at BT.

Before joining Maple-Brown Abbott, William worked as Investment Analyst at JANA, a leading investment consultant, focused on Australian Equities and REITs research as well as providing investment strategy advice to institutional funds.

Zoe joined the Maple-Brown Abbott Global Listed Infrastructure team in 2025 as an ESG Associate. She provides support for ESG research, client-related reporting, product development and general research initiatives. Zoe works closely with the ESG Analyst to implement the strategy’s ESG integration and engagement agenda, with a particular focus on ESG data analysis. Prior to joining Maple-Brown Abbott, Zoe worked as a M&A analyst at Telstra and has previous experience at a carbon offset consultancy.
